Do I need the Epicor API module to integrate Prophet 21?
No. ESS provides a native on-premises API layer purpose-built for Prophet 21, so integrations work on both Epicor Cloud and legacy on-prem installs that don't have the Epicor API module licensed. There's nothing extra to buy from Epicor to move data in and out of P21.
What can Prophet 21 integrate with?

ESS uses an out-of-the-box Microsoft Azure gateway and portal to connect external systems with Prophet 21. You get unlimited API connectivity through P21 connectors and/or custom Azure gateway endpoints, with a secure web portal to manage roles, notifications, logs and access to each endpoint.
Do you support EDI on Prophet 21?
Yes. EDI is part of our endpoint library, so purchase orders, acknowledgements, invoices and shipment documents can flow between P21 and your trading partners — and our AI document processing can handle the non-EDI vendors who still send PDFs and emails.
Is the integration real-time and bi-directional?
